Ways you can help

Our volunteers fulfil a range of roles at Holme Farm. Here are a few ways you can get involved:

Your Time

If you have a spare hour in your week, we’d love to hear from you. With enough people power, we can move mountains!

Your Skills

If you have skills you’d like to share with others, our community would love to learn them.

Your Money

If you don’t have spare time but you could spare a donation, we’d be very grateful. Thank you.

Your Donations

If you have tools and equipment you’re not using, we’ll use, repair, upcycle or sell them to raise money for our charity.

Bring your Passion and Skills to Every Task

At Holme Farm, our volunteers are the beating heart of everything we do. Their dedication, skills and time breathe life into our projects and community initiatives. We couldn’t do it without the diverse array of individuals who bring their unique talents and enthusiasm to our project. Whether you can spare time, skills, or resources, every contribution makes a significant difference.

Our activity leaders share their skills in woodwork, craft and the natural environment, creating learning opportunities for people who are looking to discover something new and improve their wellbeing.

Our back-office staff keep the charity running smoothly, fundraising, organising events and workshops and sharing information.

Even if all you have is a willingness to help, we’d love to have you along. Get in touch today for an informal chat – We believe everyone has something to offer and we might have the perfect role for you!

Got a question?

You can start by filling out the volunteer sign up form. We will then get in touch with you regarding opportunities that match your interests and skills.

Absolutely! Holme Farm aims to accommodate volunteers with various abilities and disabilities. However, due to the nature of the current site we are unable to accommodate wheelchairs. Once The Big Build has happened everyone will be able to come and visit.

Holme Farm offers a wide range of activities, including work in wood workshops, community orchards, allotments and more. There are also opportunities in re-wilding, river maintenance, wildlife care, and various crafts activities.

While specific skills in building trades or gardening are welcome, they are not a requirement. Holme Farm encourages anyone willing to get involved, regardless of their age and skill level, to apply.

We’re thrilled to hear that your company is interested in supporting Holme Farm! There are several ways your business can make a meaningful contribution:

  1. Corporate Volunteering: Arrange a day for your team to come and volunteer at Holme Farm. It’s a great team-building exercise and an opportunity to make a tangible difference in the community.
  2. Skill Sharing: If your team has specific skills that could benefit our projects – whether it’s in marketing, construction, environmental management, or any other area – we welcome the opportunity to learn from your expertise.
  3. Donations and Sponsorships: Direct financial support or sponsoring specific projects or events can greatly aid our ongoing activities and future plans. Your company can choose to fund specific initiatives that align with your corporate values.
  4. Material Donations: Donations of tools, materials, or equipment that could be useful for our various workshops and environmental projects are always appreciated.
  5. Partnerships for Events: Collaborate with us on events like our Spring Fair or Christmas Fair. Your company can participate as a vendor, provide sponsorship, or help with event organisation and promotion.

We are open to discussing other creative ways your company can contribute. Feel free to contact us for a more detailed conversation about how we can collaborate for mutual benefit and to make a positive impact on the community.
